QBs struggling to win Chiefs backup job

08:06 AM ET 06.05 | Having signed in March, Brady Quinn copped to having that new-team feeling with the Chiefs, who also drafted Ricky Stanzi a year ago. The Chiefs need one of them to age soon. They'll have to make a decision on Matt Cassel's top backup before the Sept. 9 season opener against Atlanta at Arrowhead Stadium. ... Quinn and Stanzi are rotating by practice session as the No. 2 quarterback. Monday was Quinn's turn, with Stanzi finishing each drill as the No. 3 passer. Neither was particularly sharp. Both threw an interception -- Quinn to rookie safety Tysyn Hartman, and Stanzi to veteran Travis Daniels. Their battle won't become intense until training camp begins next month in St. Joseph.

Speaking of cutting bait, there was a crewman on "Deadliest Catch" this season named Brady Quinn. He'll be more successful this season than the dude in Kansas City.
