08:12 AM ET 06.05 | With the ink barely dry on a new contract, Mike Woodson is already making a public case for his lineup. [During a Monday ESPN Radio appearance], Woodson called Jeremy Lin his starting point guard, as opposed to his ambiguous response on the team's breakup day when he said, "Only time will tell." "Right now, he is our starting point guard, without a doubt," Woodson said. ... Lin tore the meniscus in his left knee in late March and didn't play again the rest of the season, as the Knicks went on to lose in the first round of the playoffs to the Heat. "That's what we're going to do when we get [Lin] signed," Woodson said of the unsigned restricted free agent. "We'll get him back in uniform."

Of course he is.. It was between him and Douglas and Douglas only was getting time behind Baron Davis, Bibby and Shumpert while Lin was hurt.

Lol, I bet the Nets wish they could just proclaim their starting PG without them even being under contract.

Well, Lin just got a whole lot more expensive.
A tip to Knicks management:
First, sign the guy, then announce he's the starter. The other way round leads to the player having all the leverage.

LOL, I wonder who this. Anyway, I could give a crap about him suceeding, but to compare him to one of the best PG's to ever play, is kind of dumb.

If that happens that team will definately be a defensive liability to have both Lin and Nash. That doesn't seem logical to me. In this league pgs have to be defensive and aggressive to succeed passing and point production are excellent but if your other players are not defensive minded either that leads to a non winning combination.

There was nothing wrong with you saying he has potential to become a great player its when you went on to mention the great John Stockton.
