Gators running out of QB choices

08:19 AM ET 06.06 | Gators fans were understandably hopeful that either Tim Boyle and Ryan Buchanan, both of whom visited recently, would commit to Florida, which doesn't have a quarterback among its 16 verbal commitments for 2013. [Buchanan] ended up pledging to Ole Miss while Boyle left Gainesville without giving his word to the UF staff. ... If Boyle ultimately decides to pass on Florida, Muschamp may have to cross his fingers that former South Florida commit Asianti Woulard pledges to the school. He is scheduled to be in Gainesville on June 8 as the team's interest has picked up in the Winter Park, Fla., native. It's also possible that Muschamp, coordinator Brent Pease and the rest of the offensive staff elect to pass on a quarterback in 2013.

It's not the end of the earth if we don't sign a QB, but I'd sure feel better about the future if we did.

LUS can attest to what happens when you have a "hole" in your QB development plans (see Perilloux, Ryan). This may not be a hole, necessarily, but if you have a couple of other guys either crater or transfer, you are pretty quickly into an "uh-oh" situation.

But in your case, lose to GA, TN, Mizzou, KY, and USCe.

KY?!?

Hitting the sauce early today, O-6? Have something extra in the ol' Metamucil...?

;-)

Yeah, you lose to Bama.

Sounds like a

LUS Bama only played once last year??

They only played one time where it truly counted :)

I could've told the world that the Buchanan kid was Ole Miss from the day he came out of the womb. Practically everybody from that kid's school is an Ole Miss lean even if they don't play sports.

So, you are ok with losing to the rest! Just thought I'd throw our name in the pot, just knew you would not let it slide by. :-) My daughter won't either.

Well, I am the realistic type, and a loss to any of those others is actually within the realm of possibility. Well, actually, not UTk either...

We will beat Moo State this year, and win 7 games and go bowling. There, how's that.

Sounds like an avi bet on the horizon with you and D2...?

That would be a pretty good year for the kitties.

Better get a stable of quarterbacks or you end up like LSU did for the past 4 years with two dummies leading the team. Like Les Miles as a coach but he does make mistakes at times as he did in the Championship game. Kept Jordan Jefferson in the game when he was looking like a fool the whole game. Jefferson did not have a good football mind and was not fast enough. Thank goodness all that mess is over with.

Don't really mind if Florida goes down the tube as LSU has to play them yearly while the SEC voted to give Alabama a duck again. Seems the SEC wants Bama to win Championships. Or maybe the other teams along with Alabama did not want a change. If there was a change then Bama does not play Tennessee yearly. Some other team then gets Bama and that would be bad for them.

Trust me, when LSU wins Championships, the EARN IT. Can't say the same about BAMA because of their schedule. Sometimes I wish LSU was gutless like BAMA.

Yeah, I know you won but that does not mean you and Satan are not gutless.
