08:22 AM ET 06.06 | College football has a new headliner, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound high-ranking prospect, in what amounts to its free agent class. Sealy's Ricky Seals-Jones, the No. 33 overall prospect in the country and the nation's No. 3-ranked athlete for the class of 2013, has decommitted from the Longhorns and is now considering two SEC programs. Seals-Jones' mother Buffy told Hookem.com's Gerry Hamilton Tuesday night that her son, who committed to Texas on Feb. 22, had decommitted. Texas remains a possibility for Seals-Jones, but LSU and Texas A&M now appear to have a chance to land the playmaker. Also in the mix, according to his mother, are Kansas, Kentucky, SMU, Baylor and Cal.

SMU?...hmmmm...me thinks I remember another great running back from Sealy that went the SMU route many, many moons ago?

QUOTE(#5):

He is but he is also a very good D1 basketball prospect that scores about 30 on the AAU circuit. The article can say what it wants but Baylor is supposedly in the drivers seat between Drews AAU shenanigans and Briles WR friendly offense. He's been getting a lot of negative recruiting in his ear about playing both sports in college, which is unlikely to happen, and thoughts of possibly playing bball instead of cfb. Thats why his list includes SMU (Brown), Kentucky and KU.But I think the point he was making is that RSJ has an Uncle named Eric Dickerson who you may remember played at SMU. That combined with Brown being at SMU now and his AAU, CAA connections and suddely you have a hmmmmm moment.

Thanks...didn't know about the ED connection so makes sense.

But you know how DC is always getting his facts mixed up, just trying to keep him st8

QUOTE(#12):

You better be. Baylor talk is legit and you're going against Drew and Briles. Their reputations proceed them and their programs right now are running very well.

TAMU isn't likely to happen and unlikely any of the other schools as well.

Briles is absolutely no slouch, for sure.

Is he gonna stay content if he can keep Baylor on an upward trajectory? Or will he keep moving up the CFB food chain? Inquiring minds wanna know.

Barnes should let him play basketball. At minimum he'll get three years out of RSJ, which has to count for something with Barnes.

Not so sure they actually play football there though.

They do. Sorta.

;-) for Colonel.

Come on over to LSU, we need to help. Have a new coach who will do things with the program but he needs some playmakers now.
