08:28 AM ET 06.06 | A brief honeymoon appears to be over between Nashville and its mercurial star. The Predators made their first move of a crucial offseason on Tuesday by announcing they will not bring back forward Alexander Radulov. General manager David Poile said he would look to trade the talented Russian's rights to another NHL team or let him go back to the Kontinental Hockey League. "The best way to characterize it is it's time to not pursue Rad anymore," Poile said. "If he wants to play in the KHL, that's fine. If he wants to play with another NHL team, I'd be willing to trade his rights." Asked whether it's safe to say that Radulov won't be with the Predators next season, Poile said: "I would say right now that would be safe to say."

*yawn* Did anyone think otherwise?

In other news, the worst playoffs since the 90s are finally about to end and i'm starting to feel a little more optimistic about the hockey world. Let the silly season begin! :)

It has not exactly been a stellar postseason. Any time the LA Galaxy v. Toronto FC score more goals than a hockey playoff game, there is a problem.

Who else longs for the first round, when we had PHI v. Pens. Goals, truculence, who could ask for more?

I will watch Game 4 tonight, but mostly cheering to be put out of my misery.

I will be more than a little happy to see a certain goalie get swept out, if indeed that happens, if for no other reason than I can put my avatar back to match my name

"Preds through with Radulov"

They should've never gotten started with him in the first place.

I continue to be impressed with how the Preds operate their Franchise. So much open common sense in that management team.

In that picture, Radulov looks like he's laughing at how he got the Preds to pay him pretty well for some light skating.
