08:32 AM ET 06.06 | While the present has to feel pretty good, at least from a playoff standpoint, the future is unsettling for Ray Allen. Some would say the Big Three were never expected to have this long of a shelf life, and as [Allen] admitted on several occasions this season, all bets are off this summer when his and Kevin Garnett???s contracts expire. But Allen admitted last night that walking away will indeed be difficult. ... "To walk away from something when there???s so much there, it???s kind of hard to do that. You look around the league and you always question, 'What does this guy stand for? Can you go to battle with him?' That???s the unknown. But you know what you have in your locker room, and to walk away from that is tough."

if I was Ray and Kevin, I would accept the minimum or something near it on a 1 year contract, and let Boston go rent a Howard.

I think they deserve better than minimum but it'd be great if they can get that done. I'm all for anything that keeps Lebron titleless!

It doesnt sound like this quote was taken last night..its just "filler" for today...the report says he was quoted several times throughout the season saying this. Ray has his focus on this series, no question about that

It is becoming hard to watch Ray struggle shooting and even at FTs. Such a great shooter, one of the prettiest releases, sad to watch him play now. I hope he just retires after this season and not become like Shaq towards his end.

He looked pretty good from the free throw line last night.

I questioned him at the onset of the series but he's responded WELL these last 3 games...no pun intended. It'd be good to see him and KG go out on top

that's a good call, actually, from boston's standpoint. though i'm not sure boston has anything they can send to orlando to make them a viable trade partner.

super clutch free throws at the end there. dude's a winner. he finds ways to help the team win (7 rebounds last night) even when the shots aren't falling.

ray's hurt though too. he was pretty effective earlier this year when he was fully healthy.

These old guys know how to play basketball too bad they can't keep their youth, their experience is really starting to pay dividends and frustrate the Heat! The question is will LeBron shake there Hands!
