08:04 AM ET 06.07 | Woody Johnson will leave the public contract talk to Darrelle Revis. [Johnson said] he expects Revis to be on the field for the Jets in 2012, but the Jets owner declined to weigh in on Revis' contract or the possibility of another training camp holdout. Revis has left the door open to holding out for the third time in six seasons, unwilling to guarantee he'll report to camp in Cortland, N.Y., in July. Johnson, though, deferred all questions relating to Revis' contract to general manager Mike Tannenbaum. "I can say this: Darrelle Revis is a very important part of the New York Jets," Johnson said [Wednesday] at MetLife Stadium. ... "But we make a policy: We don't talk about contracts and anything like that."

I see. It's encrypted. Better job of encryption than LinkedIn losing 6M passwords to Russian hackers.

The Jets should stand their ground. Revis will lose $30K a day if he does hold out, and his current deal has two years and a little over $26M remaining. He might not even be worth the trouble at the end of 2013.
