Jamison still lacks cash to buy Coyotes

08:32 AM ET 06.07 | Without a sweetheart cable deal or a packed house, the Coyotes' revenue streams are limited, and it might come back to bite them. Although the Glendale City Council votes this Friday on a new 20-year lease at Jobing.com Arena for Greg Jamison, the prospective buyer of the Phoenix Coyotes, sources familiar with the matter say the former CEO of the San Jose Sharks still has not raised enough money to buy the National Hockey League team. According to these sources Jamison is having trouble raising the money to make the $170 million purchase because investors believe that even with a $15 million a year taxpayer subsidy over the course of the new lease the Coyotes will have difficulty turning a profit.

at least Preds are secure for the time being.....new local ownership has come to the table with pretty good business plan....now if preds can just secure S & W and be competitive next year....if there is a next year.......

taxpayer subsidy... that's funny. Didn't the mayor/city council ante up taxpayer cash to keep the Yotes in town for 2011-12 season in an 11th hour deal last sumemr?

Time for this nonsense to stop Spiny. You want to join me and go in as partners to buy this team? I'll put in $2.86 cash, you make up the rest. This team needs a couple guys with money to be an end to this cartoon.
