Devils talk of running the table

08:33 AM ET 06.07 | On the surface, winning three more games in succession doesn't sound all that difficult, right? The Devils can do more than dream now. They 'Can Do.' And did. They live, thanks to more Adam Henrique heroics. The Devils' ultra-clutch rookie, with two series-winning overtime goals already in his bag, scored the tie-breaking winner with 4:29 left in their 3-1 do-or-die victory in Game 4 over the Kings Wednesday night. They're coming home to New Jersey, and if they shatter the Kings' record road perfection Saturday in Newark, they would turn the Stanley Cup finals on its ear. Henrique also was bold enough to say: Yes, We Can. "We know we can do it. We know we can put four together and come back," said Henrique.

Devils played an awesome game last night, two guys pressuring the puck at almost all times and excellent spacing/support from the others. L.A. didn't have much room to do a lot and looked a little sloppy, though I suppose we should credit the New Jersey players for some of that.

The Kings did hit the post a couple times though and had that gone differently we would be reading a different story, I think.

I thought the Devils didn't really show any urgency till about 1/2 way through. A couple of bounces, (posts) gone the other way, and we'd be reading the post mortem...and I'd have my proper avatar back

Delaying the inevitable.

A wee bit soon to talk of "running the table". I think it's time to keep your head down, work hard and try to win every period you play. One by one. When the series is tied, 3 games each it might be time to think about going all the way. Until then...........keep your head down and play it one period at a time. Silly story, at this point at least.

this whole series has been about hit posts, and bounces... Devils live for another day, but I still see Kings winning in 5

and I for one, will be happy to see them lose in their own building
Didn't this happen with L.A. in both Vancouver and Phoenix?

I was wondering when the Dev's were going to figure out that you can't score on Quick by constantly firing the puck into his midsection.

Watch the presser.....Henrique never mentions running the table.

He was asked the question "if he thought the Devils had a team to come back from down 3 to win a cup".......

Whats Henrique supposed to say? "No, we suck?"

Total fabrication by the Post!

Let me guess.....Brooks or that other dim witted idiot???

Let's see, a front running Yankee fan moaning about other teams fair weather fans. Did I get that right?

I forgot to look at the publisher line...

This is indeed a worthless thread.

they realized that the only way to get the puck past quick was to run into contact with him on purpose and then score on a rebound. I dunno where the ref was on the devils first goal, but he was out to lunch. Brodeur gets charity calls anytime a players breathes on him, yet when Elias runs into 'incidental' contact with Quick that deep in the crease...it shoulda been whistled down. I guess Quick needs to dive like Marty.
