Given his shot, Banks expresses zero animosity

08:03 AM ET 06.08 | Brian Banks still has a chance, which is quite a bit more than he likely ever expected after being exonerated last month. Now 26, Banks stands 6 feet 2, 239 pounds and can still run 40 yards in less than 4.7 seconds. It was his grace, though, that was most striking when he answered questions after the workout Thursday. ... He expressed no animosity toward his accuser, no anger about the time he served in prison or on parole. He looked toward the future and smiled, feeling a freedom to determine his own future. "Look where I am today," Banks said, motioning his arms toward the Seahawks' indoor practice facility. "I thank God for this. This is a blessing. The last thing I want to do is be bitter."

Give the dude credit, he's a better person than most of us. I hope he makes it.

I think a run thru Journalism 215 is in order here. Always match the picture to the story.

Yes, I hope he makes it, either with Seattle or another team. Not many people could survive what he's been through.

Yep, I'm pretty sure I couldn't be on the same planet with the ****. Just thinking about all the "accidents" NFL money could buy makes me giddy.

"... He expressed no animosity toward his accuser, no anger about the time he served in prison or on parole. He looked toward the future and smiled...".
That is pretty amazing. The world needs more people who think and feel like this - and to hear about them.

The best of luck to this guy. He deserves it for what the system put him through. I hope football serves him well, because some lying piece of trash deprived him of the chance to get a college education.

+1...definitely a better man than me! I'd be on a rampage right now, suing everyone I could and appearing on TV trashing that ___ but hey...thats just me. LOL

I would like to see the DA who sent this man to the big house use as a blocking dummy for a day.

I wish him luck. But I don't see how someone who has been out of the game for 8 years and missed playing college ball, can possibly make it in the NFL. I wish he could have gone and played a year in college, this fall. Would have helped him a lot.

Why blame the DA? It was the accuser who is at fault.

I think he'll make an NFL roster if for no other reason than its good PR for some NFL team. I just hope that once he makes the team he's smart enough to save his money. He can use some of it to go back to college and get a degree in the offseason.
