Subway Series stage set for drama

08:10 AM ET 06.08 | Among interleague matchups, New York-New York should enter the weekend at the top of the heap. You couldn't pick a better time for the Yankees and Mets to run face-first into each other as they're about to this weekend. ... To all the Mets haters who predicted a long summer of oblivion, it's time for a mea culpa and, while they're at it, to get real: Terry Collins' roster has the pedigree to last into September. And to those who saw the Yankees' age as a serpent that could drag them down to the depths of the AL East ... well, not so fast. It's going to be a compelling series which, if it falls short of make-or-break status, will at least produce data on several key issues.

No matter how bad the Mets were they still managed to play the Yankees well over the years.

It's not going anywhere. Those games tend to draw well. It's all about the money.

That would be in 2nd place after slapping the Rays around and taking 2 of 3.
