08:20 AM ET 06.08 | Improving on the ice, which Columbus desperately needs, may begin with change at the top of the hockey operations org chart. John Davidson, president of hockey operations for the St. Louis Blues, interviewed last week for an executive-level position with the Blue Jackets, The Dispatch has learned via NHL sources. Davidson, 59, was in Columbus on May 29 to interview with Blue Jackets' majority owner John P. McConnell and club president Mike Priest. Neither McConnell nor Priest would comment on the club's interest in Davidson last week when The Dispatch requested an interview. Through a club spokesman, McConnell said that his franchise will continue to "pursue every opportunity to improve as a hockey club."

This is like being the CEO of apple and jumping to take over RIM.
Also, it's cute that they're referring to CBJ as "a hockey club".

They can. New ownership probably will when they miss the playoffs again. Kinda pointless having a GM nobody wants to do business with, fellow GMs and players/agents alike.

T&R is a couple of weeks behind the wave on J.D. stories. But, J.D. going to the CBJs? Why would he want to do that, when he can go to the Flames?

And they are in the Calder Cup finals. They're losing three games to none to Norfolk, but they have to have some talent to get to the Cup finals.
