08:21 AM ET 06.08 | CSKA Moscow, with deep pockets and Sergei Fedorov as its general manager, has the opportunity to shake up the NHL a bit. According to Russian sources, Fedorov has expressed serious interest in the services of Alexander Radulov and Alexander Semin. ... [Semin's agent, Mark Gandler] has gone so far as to suggest Semin will not be returning to the Capitals, period. In any case, CSKA's objective for next season is to make the Western Conference finals in the KHL, aiming for the Gagarin Cup in the process. With a hint of mystery, Russian sources say Fedorov might be after several other high-quality players, some of whom have had NHL experience. No more details are forthcoming at this moment.

Who cares? I hate KHL threads. But for some reason, Semin just keeps us coming...

KHL threads are even worse with the SCF are still going on. Don't they have all summer to bust this nut?

Anyway, on Russians, the Leafs met with Yakupov after game 2. If Burke trades up to get him, good move? Even if he includes Gardiner, who IMO is basically the only good player on the team?

Kessel does need a dance partner.

I'll readily admit that if I don't see it in the WJC's, I don't know jack about junior hockey. Is he another donut?

No he isn't. The kid can play but he's a cocky young Russian. If he went to To***to and watched Kessel getting paid to glide around the ice he'd learn quickly.

QUOTE(#7):

Who'da thunk that Semin was such a daredevil? If he's willing to go back to Mother Russia and fly around in their airplanes he's got more balls than any of us ever gave him credit for.

Shut up Rex. You get him mad and he'll slap you soooo hard!

With all of the great Russian hockey players from years past, names like Tretiak, Kharlamov, Fetisov etc, the KHL names the Championship Trophy after a Cosmonaut? WTF?

That's pretty funny actually
