10:01 AM ET 06.09 | Right-hander Yu Darvish, who had one of his roughest outings of the season Thursday at Oakland, will have some extra time to rest and work on his mechanics before making his next start. Darvish was scheduled to start Wednesday against Arizona, but Rangers manager Ron Washington shuffled his rotation, pushing Darvish back to June 15 vs. Houston at Rangers Ballpark. After the team's day off Monday, the rotation will be Colby Lewis (vs. Arizona), Matt Harrison (vs. Arizona), Scott Feldman (vs. Arizona), Darvish (vs. Houston) and Alexi Ogando (vs. Houston). Ogando was pushed back a day. Washington said he wants to give all his starters extra rest at times and that this move was not a reaction to Darvish's rough outing.

Darvish has been okay this season. It will be interesting to see what the Rangers do with the pitching staff when Oswalt comes on board.

Oswalt-Darvish-Lewis-Harrison-Holland in the rotation with Feliz and Ogando in the bullpen and Nathan closing is probably the way to go.

"this move was not a reaction to Darvish's rough outing."

No, but it is a reaction to the fact he is a five inning pitcher his last four or five starts.

so, darvish starts to lose his control and the rangers are shaking allready?? let him built stamina through his regular schedule, that's the only way he can regain conffidence into his pitching skills,,,

Oswalt would have been a whole lot cheaper. Maybe he should be at Round Rock instead with the Rangers working on his mechanics.
