10:36 AM ET 06.09 | The Huskies got what they hope will be a big part of their future Friday when quarterback Troy Williams of Narbonne High in Harbor City, Calif., announced during a ceremony at his school that he has committed to Washington. Williams, who will be a senior at Narbonne next year, will sign with UW next February. He told Scout.com he plans to graduate early so he can enroll at UW in time for spring practice in 2013. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder is rated a four-star recruit by both Scout.com and Rivals.com, and is 178th on ESPN's list of the top 300 recruits in the nation for the Class of 2013. He had offers from the likes of UCLA, Florida and Arizona State before narrowing his choice to UW and Arizona.

Good point. I still wonder why the played or even offered Brantley a scholly (I understand his father and uncle played there and there was pressure to take him) as he was a drop back QB and they ran a spread offense.l
