09:16 AM ET 06.10 | Nobody knows what the future holds for (Kevin) Garnett, (Paul) Pierce and (Ray) Allen after losing to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, but there's a strong possibility that this is the end of an era in Boston. Garnett and Allen will become unrestricted free agents this summer. Pierce has hinted that he'll consider retirement. Allen will likely test free agency, especially since he was nearly dealt at the trade deadline. Sources believe he'll look to sign a multi-year deal with another contender. Garnett will also receive interest from a number of teams after his phenomenal postseason run. Pierce was almost traded at midseason for a lottery pick, and a similar move could be made before the draft if Garnett and Allen let it be known that they're leaving. After giving this group one more shot, this will likely be the summer that Danny Ainge decides to rebuild.

Any team that trades a lottery pick for Pierce needs to summoned to the commissioners office and grilled if they're really trying to improve a team. If you're a team looking to add vet leadership and some scoring here and there I could see a trade for Pierce, but certainly not a lottery pick. Ray can help a team looking to compete for a championship, but you don't need to give a multi year contract unless its in the 3-5 mil range for only two years......same applies for Garnett!

Danny is a complete moron in my opinon and if it wasn't for Rivers coaching and the big four resolve, Danny boy would have been run out of town by now...this fool. Not only did he let go of Posey and foolishly traded Perkins derailing a great run, he let Tony Allens defense go as well. Red had it right many years ags when he instructed mgmt. to trade Danny out of town. The C's if they break up will be in trouble in its up to Danny's decision making and C's fans you can bank on this. This clown is given way to much credit for the C's success. IMO he did everything to undermine the success of this team!

This is true, if he was just 70% of himself instead of a shell of it, the Celtics would have won this series without Bradley!

This Russian already looks foolish in that he's already it seems traded away its future on a humble (Howard/Williams signings), and would look equally moronic thinking let me sign Garnett in the event he can't get Howard. KG played inspired these playoffs and this reg. season with the influence of Rivers, Rondo, Allen and Pierce, he won't have this in Netsland and him having to carry the load as well as being a star feature is unrealistic and therefore should be an afterthout for Nets management. KG will be better served in Lakersland or Dallas on a manageable contract going out gracefully and not wasting any HOF time in Netsland.
