Brodeur stands ground after 'punch'

I'm laughing at the PA announcer at last night's game needing to motivate the crowd to stand up and get loud during the last couple minutes of play.

I saw the sweater thingie but never saw a punch?

There was some punching during the scrum. Not sure who was hitting who in the pile.

LA's obviously toying with the Devils..they lost on purpose so they could win it at home...i mean seriously...they havent won a Cup yet in their entire existence....course they wanna spoil their fans at home.

Can't remember when the winning team last won at home.

It is the same old tactics that teams have use for years. If you can get him rattle you have half of the battle won. If I am the coach I would talk to the head ref before game 6 and maybe you can get a call.

Sorry Marty, there was no penalty because your defenseman shoved Carter into you. We win our first Cup on Monday at home.

Completely different topic but you guys know your stuff so......AHL finals Game 3 OT fluke goal. There was clearly 1 Norfolk player offside (looks like 2 to me). Should delayed offside nullify the goal or should it have counted as it did?

Yep! The AHL came out and said they blew the play.

I thought it was a penalty if you didn't have your sweater tied down in the back.

Take a punch and don't say nothing. That's how Houdini went out. Well, not with his ex.

Just a couple of points -

1. Carter dragged the NJ player down - CBC showed a great replay of it, and Carter had a hold of the d-mans (forget who) arm, which was why he was so upset

2. Late in games, the refs often don't call offsetting roughing penalties.

3. Marty wasn't just smiling - from the replay on cbc, he got a couple of shots in on one of the Kings - Carter, I think.

I want it to go 7 because I don't think there will be any NHL until December.
