Pistons hoping Barnes slips?

08:09 AM ET 06.11 | 'Tis the season for draft speculation, especially with prized lottery picks and a deep draft. The depth of this draft is a main reason the Pistons will remain flexible when they pick ninth June 28. There's a very good chance the Pistons will get a young big to complement budding star center Greg Monroe. ... Two candidates to fall this time are [Andre Drummond] and North Carolina small forward Harrison Barnes. It's hard to see Drummond getting past the Blazers at No. 6 or the Warriors at No. 7, despite fears that his blend of size and athleticism will turn into a colossal bust. But Barnes is another story. There doesn't appear to be a consensus where he will go. Yeah, the Pistons need size. But if you watched them last season, you also will realize they need firepower.

Barnes has potential and this pick will be the same story for Dumars, yeah you the one that always end in a guard or small forward, this is always a high priority on Joe's list. Anyone looking for a small forward/guard?......call Joe!

If we can get Barnes Im fine with that cause I think he can eventually average 17 to 20 a game but Im want another Big....unless its Henson.

They need to tear down and restart, and build through the draft and not free agency. A lot of teams can use instant offense off the bench with guys like Gordon and Villanueva. Prince and Mxiel could be sent to contending teams looking to add some depth as well.

They have some nice young pieces with Greg Monroe and Knight. They need to continue to add more scoring and become more athletic. Barnes fits that description, but I don't think he falls to the Pistons. Villanueva isn't tradeable, not with that contract... I doubt Gordon is either. Prince would bring back a 2nd round pick at best, but can't see Maxiell bringing anything back in a trade.

Man..I dont know if u watched him play in college for real...I know living in NC I got to see all of his games. Dude will be a good 6th or 7th man at best, thats his ceiling. Trust me, you dont want this guy in the lottery...a 6'8" jump shooter who cant create his own shot or defend, hes the Black Adam Morrison! LOL

I'd say that description is more fitting to Meyers Leonard and Drummond when it comes to play on the court. Henson plays hard, he just happens to be built like a tooth pick, which doesn't bode well for him making an immediate impact.
With that said of the three i'd be willing to take a chance on Drummond. 6'11'' with strength and a 40inch vertical just doesn't come around too often.
