07:58 AM ET 06.12 | Pete Carroll is no stranger to bringing in wide receivers for a look this time of year, and it appears he's interested in Antonio Bryant. [Bryant] is in Seattle to participate in the team's minicamp, according to sources with knowledge of the situation, and is taking a physical for the club. Bryant has not played in the NFL since 2009 with Tampa; he was signed by the Bengals in 2010 while recovering from a knee injury and ended up being released prior to the season's start despite receiving roughly $8-million guaranteed. He never played a game for Cincinnati. Bryant, a deep threat when healthy with elite speed, has been out of the NFL since, but is healthy and in shape and at age 31 hopes to get back.

$8mil for doing nothing? I could take some of that

June 12, 2012  08:11 AM ET

This is a great story and all.... but did we need to see it twice ?

He's tanned, he's rested, he's ready. Oh wait, that was Nixon.

Exactly, my first thoughts, Mr Steeler. How's things for you this evening?

June 12, 2012  08:29 AM ET

If it doesn't work out in Seattle, I remember reading the Allen Wranglers just let one of their WRs go...

June 12, 2012  08:31 AM ET

He's screwing up the ab situation so bad they will do no better than 6-10, which is typical for him. So..does it matter who lines up as WR?

I'll bet Mike Brown still wakes up in cold sweats at night thinking about that contract.

I guess we're getting through our quota of Seahawks threads now, because once the season starts they'll be irrelevant.

Carroll is shaking the bushes anywhere he can looking for anything or anyone he thinks can help his team win. Great college recruiter but this is the NFL some of his choices will leave you shaking your head T. Jack and others.

Good Job hopefully he works out!!

I think this thread will max out the Seattle quota.

Before long, the Seahawks threads will focus on which college campus Pete Carroll will eventually find himself coaching.

$8 million for doing nothing!, Maybe that's what got Mike Wallace PO'ed. I'd do nothing for half that much!
