Something called 'eye confidence' key to Colts rebuild

08:00 AM ET 06.12 | Rebuilding the Colts quickly wasn't going to be easy, which may be just where GM Ryan Grigson can thrive. Nearly one-third of the Indianapolis Colts salary cap is tied up in "dead" money, prorated bonuses not yet counted against the cap but paid to players such as Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Gary Brackett and Joseph Addai who are no longer with the team. Grigson couldn't go about rebuilding the Colts by spending. He had to go about it by digging. "I feel like digging is one of my strong suits, digging and not caring what anybody else thinks or what the perception is," said Grigson. ... Grigson operates with what he calls "eye confidence." He believes he knows what he's looking at and he trusts what he sees. Videotape is truth.
