08:04 AM ET 06.12 | From a cast that reportedly included eight others, Charlotte's race to name a head coach is hitting the home stretch. [The Bobcats] have narrowed their list of head coaching candidates to Jerry Sloan, Brian Shaw and Quin Snyder, according to league sources. After going through an initial interview with Charlotte executives Rod Higgins and Rich Cho, each of the three candidates will meet with Bobcats owner Michael Jordan within the next week or so. ... The 70-year-old Sloan, who resigned abruptly during his 23rd season with the Utah Jazz last year, is eager to return to the sidelines and regards the Bobcats' job as a great opportunity to teach young players, according to sources.

Jerry there's a better gig for ya. Why waste (cause thats all you'll be doing) any time with Jordan and the misfits. You have Byron with the Cavs and now Jerry with the Bobcats, seems desparate to me when they could do a whole lot better by going elsewhere.

Note to Jerry: There aren't any Karl Malone's or John Stockton's on this team.

I doubt any of the young PG's will work well with Sloan but it's worth a shot I guess....

Question is why will Sloan even want this job... does he want to die of a heart attack? It's one thing to work for Jordan and another to have a buncha young thugs driving him nuts... why go in for all this stress.... is it all worth your health and sanity?

Young thugs?? You sound like the media with these stereotypes....the team may have been bad but who exactly is a thug on the roster?? Tyrus Thomas may be a malcontent but thug is hardly the word I'd use. Truth is, the Bobcats have a bunch of nice young guys...they may not be able to play ball very well but no trouble makers here...try again

If you think this comment is outlandish, just go to the thread about the Clips and lostwill's explantion and/or assessment of Chris Paul. I'm sure if this one blows you away, prepare yourself for what that one will do to ya!

WELL MJ MY ADVICE TO YOU IS TO HIRE BRIAN SHAW....... HE YOUNGER AN HE CAN MOLD THOSE YOUNG BOYS YOU HAVE ON THE TEAM. JERRY SLOAN IS COOL..... BUT HE IS TOO OLD TO DEAL WITH THE YOUTH ON THE TEAM......HELL LOOK WHAT HAPPEN WITH DERON WILLIAMS.
