Questions begin for Parise

08:23 AM ET 06.12 | Zach Parise heard the magic word, and he was prepared to cut things short quickly. [Parise] interrupted the question as soon as he heard the words "future" and "now that it's over." He is 18 days from becoming the biggest free agent in the NHL, but in the aftermath of the Devils' 6-1 season-ending loss to the Kings Monday night, he wasn't about to address it. "I'm not going to talk about that," the Devils captain said. "I'm not going to talk about that." ... Will the Devils be able to keep him? The only thing they know for sure is that they'll have plenty of competition. Detroit, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, and yes, the hated Rangers, are all believed to be in the market for the perennial 30-goal scorer.

yay....a whole summer of "Where will Parise go" threads. Maybe they can even use a picture from less than 3 years ago

Don't forget the Crosby threads

If he is after the money, he will get a ton of cash from someone. He is a hard working player with skill. Scored over 30 goals in the last 5 seasons he has played full seasons. He isn't elite of the elite, but makes up for it in will. Whoever gets him will be happy, as long as they don't pay him over 8 mil a year. He deserves whatever he gets. And I would like to thank Glen Sather for taking Hugh Jesimen so he could drop a few spots and the Devils could trade up fro him

Sid, "I'll never join you"
Lord Irk: The racetrack picture
Robooby: with one of the Sedins checking out his keester
and a personal fav: The one of Ryan Miller looking totally lost

Questions begin???? Questions started at the beginning of the season.

June 12, 2012  09:41 AM ET

this guy is going to have ALOT of suitors. Should be very interesting. Not 'i want a Parise post-a-day' interesting, but interesting nonetheless.

More like:

Sid; 'I'll never join you, I'll never come over to the dark side'
Lord Irk; 'But Sid, I am your father'...

QUOTE(#6):

correct, but he makes up for it in alot of ways by playing good 2 way hockey and (as you correctly pointed out) by bringing the hussle.

but we'll get at the very least...one a day I'm sure

June 12, 2012  09:54 AM ET

And I will say this. Kovy refused to talk about his injury. I am sure it will come out, but at least he didn't use that as an excuse. Guy is completey different then who I thought he was.

The Penguins are interested in him? Don't get me wrong, he's a great player that would help any team he plays for, but they don't have near the cap space they need to sign him.

Malkin, Staal, and Sid re-signing are much high priorities.
