08:10 AM ET 06.13 | The first day of the rest of his life came Tuesday for Andrew Luck in the form of working with the Colts. Worried about Luck missing a handful of practices because of his college requirements? Don't be. First, he's a ridiculously quick learner. Coby Fleener and Griff Whalen, teammates of Luck's at Stanford and now with the Colts, speak with wide-eyed admiration about how quickly he picks up the in intricacies of a new playbook. ... College quarterbacks come into the NFL more prepared than ever, the result of playing so much seven-on-seven in the summer and the proliferation of pro-style offenses in the college game. "I've managed to learn the playbook, so I don't think I'm starting at zero," Luck said.

Well hell I hope so.

Good Luck Andrew!

This might have something to do with why the Colts drafted him #1. Just Sayin

Which playbook? The Peyton Manning Playbook, or the Curtis Painter Playbook?

"See Joseph Addai. See Joe run. Run, Joe, run." And even that will have to change, since Joe ran out of Indy as fast as he could go.

I think he could have had worse coaches at Stanford than Harbaugh. At least there, you've got a guy that knows the position.

Learning the play book will not be the problem. Staying upright long enough to execute the play is the problem.

Fixed...

Echo that Mangler.........Tremendous pressure on the young man to replace a legend............Just remember Andrew.....You can't be Peyton Manning.......Just be Andrew Luck and you will be fine..........

Only if Andrew Luck never throws a pick or drops a ball or loses a game. Fans are a fickle bunch. I don't envy his job. Saviour of the franchise is is one tall order. Only Aaron Rogers has pulled it off in recent history, but he did have help from Favre flopping so miserably he made Packers management look like genius's.

Yes, he'll take a beating this year but he's a smart and talented kid. Luck will be fine in the long run.

Ignorant, ill-informed, hateful and laughably wrong, but hot, no doubt.

Wishful thinking since your team picked up Addai. Or should I say the oft injured, never on the field version he's become. Luckily your Pats don't really use the RB much so you can hope he'll work out for 10-12 carries a game.

Who knows?? He COULD be right...Tim Couch and Jamarcus Russell were also #1 picks who didnt last long...Im just sayin....you never know what can happen to the kid. He could end up being shell shocked like David Carr too, thats the fun about speculating

That's all we ask. And it's all we need. Personally, I wish we'd have kept BJGE.
