08:22 AM ET 06.13 | From the standpoint of the outcome, CC Sabathia wasn't going to complain. [Sabathia] certainly wasn't going to throw the victory back into the Georgia evening. Yet, the Yankees ace was irritated by the way he pitched throughout his seven-inning stint last night in a pulsating 6-4 victory over the Braves at Turner Field. "I was all over the place," Sabathia said of his fastball that lacked command and figured in the Braves scoring three runs in the first on Matt Diaz's bases-loaded double. "I have to be better next time." Recently, Sabathia has experienced rocky first innings. "It's something I have to figure out," said Sabathia. ... "Every game, I'm putting us in a hole."

Being down 3-0 in the first inning is putting them in a bind. Even with their offensive firepower, it is tough to come back from. Perhaps CC should lay off the buffet.

In a hole - really? 13 GS - 8 quality starts - 3 games pitched 6 innings - all the rest 7 or more innings. ERA of 3.80. Pretty interesting hole.
