Celtics eyeing a few big men

08:07 AM ET 06.14 | Down the stretch of this season, the Celtics' signings of Ryan Hollins and Sean Williams spoke volumes about their lack of depth among big men. The good news for the Celtics is they'll have a chance to fortify their frontcourt with a pair of first round picks in the June 28 draft. It's a safe bet that general manager Danny Ainge will use either the 21st or 22nd pick -- if not both -- to acquire some size. Three big men stand out as players that could be available when the Celtics pick: Syracuse's Fab Melo, Iowa State's Royce White, and St. Bonaventure's Andrew Nicholson. Melo is a legitimate 7-footer, who took major strides in his sophomore season at Syracuse. He blocked 2.9 shots per game and was named the Big East defensive player of the year.

Any team marching Ryan Hollins out there as a solution to their big man issues has big man issues... still.

Center is their most desperate need even if they resign KG. Allen is most likely gone.

I think he was joking more than anything...the irony would be sending reversing the trade that happened already.
And Jeff Green has the heart condition that kept him out all year, it was found during the off season. But if he can come back next season he will be a valuable piece of that rebuilding, dude can play

Kaman is a FA would most likely ask 11-12 per year. I think he's a good center WHEN HEALTHY (that's been a huge issue). I'm not sure if he's worth 12 mil per, but I'm sure someone will over pay him.
Ray ray will walk since he feels offended that he almost got traded. I love the guy, but he's done. I don't see him ever being the same sharp shooter he's been.
I'm not sold on Green. He was OKC's "weakest link" of the big3 or big 4 whatever you wanna call them. SOmehow he lacks aggression, while being talented. He kinda seems like the Marvin Williams type. Talented and lazy.
So what the C's really have is Rondo, Avery and PP. Maybe KG re-signs for 8mil for a year. They need to redo the rest of the team.

Yeah I am interested in seeing where Kaman goes. Boston should go afer him but I can see Portland throwing money his way as well and they are hurting at the center position too.
