Rangers just might come after Parise anyway

08:34 AM ET 06.14 | Perhaps the Rangers can't take a hint, or maybe they believe money still talks. Just because Zach Parise doesn't want the Rangers doesn't mean the Rangers don't want him. Or that they're automatically eliminated from the anticipated Parise sweepstakes. In fact, from a Rangers' perspective, Parise's declaration Wednesday during the Devils' breakup day that he would not consider heading across the Hudson River means absolutely zero. Because the offensively challenged Rangers, now minus Marian Gaborik until probably December, definitely need Parise. And they can afford him. So if Parise makes it to July 1 without re-signing with the Devils, expect the Rangers to be at the front of the line with an offer.

He sounded pretty certain to me...unless he's just trying to jack up his price...but I don't think so. It's okay. He's a good player, but maybe not the answer for The Rangers anyway

Big whoop. Lord Irk thought he was first in line to resign the Sedin twins from VCR a few years ago. Look where that got us.

Great! Two "same threads" for the price of one! Nice! We love this kind of bargains as much as the guaranteed "authentic" Gucci shades and bikinis!

So, comissioner-to-be, what do you think is the answer for the Rangers?

a pure sniper. I can't recall the last time they had one. And it would have to help the power play
Defence is good, goaltending is good, role players are good. I like the coach...though I wish he was more patient with the lines, I think he changes up too fast.
They are the proverbial "one player" away.
Of course, no one knows who that player is

As the commissioner to be isn't this all conflict of intrest to the shield?

After failing to get Parise they'll get Radulov...and Radulov will have a better offensive year.

Define offensive with Radulov? As in on the ice or off the ice?

I dont want that guy---another Euro head case. I don't want Nash either.......

Deal MDZ while you can and Dubinsky if you cant get anyone to believe this year was a bust....sign Stralman, Prust and hope kids move up

indeed. Unlike the Malfescent Midget, I am also a hockey fan, so this is just a fan talking. I will abstain from all trade talk upon hiring

I always worry when a guy gets so highly advertised. How olde is Ryan now?
