Time to call Kolb a bust?

08:06 AM ET 06.15 | In the summer of 2011, the Eagles traded Kevin Kolb to Arizona for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second-round draft pick. It's possible this trade will go down as one of the most lopsided, most spectacularly bad trades in recent league history. ... Arizona then compounded the trade by handing Kolb a $63 million contract, with $21 million of it guaranteed. That is the opposite of well executed. To call Kolb a bust may be unfair, but he has trouble with accuracy, displays little touch on his passes, doesn't have dazzling arm strength, doesn't seem to get the offense, doesn't seem mentally tough and panics a bit too much. In other words, he's Blaine Gabbert.

Don't know about Kolb, but Marilyn Monroe? Now, *there* was a bust.

More like lucky dude.....Poor Cardinals for wasting a decent CB, money and a draft pick on this scrub. And damn.....give Blaine Gabbert a chance. One year in the league with no WRs and he's a bust already. Let's see what happens this year with Justin Blackmon.

LMAO. That train has already left the station. And in the future, never buy a used car from Andy Reid.

No, but they may want to consider Andy for their marketing department. Maybe they can recoup some of the money.

Really! Reid is very good about dumping questionable talent, but he is also involved in drafting these people in the first place.

I think he's more in line with Mark Sanchez

21 million guaranteed any he's poor? He doesn't look like the kind of guy who spends it all on babes and bling.

My initial thoughts on that headline ran along similar lines. Curvy lines. Big curvy lines.

I'm not sure turning to Skelton would be the answer to their QB issues either.

I used to like the Red Skelton Show when I was a kid.

They don't make TV shows like that anymore.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I read this; but he has trouble with accuracy, displays little touch on his passes, doesn't have dazzling arm strength, doesn't seem to get the offense, doesn't seem mentally tough and panics a bit too much.

They both walk around like a guy who's had one too many concussions.

The thing is... Kolb showed moments of relevance.

You can't convince somebody a player's worth a trade if there's no stats to back it up. He had a few really good games. The problem is.... he can't do it consistently. I think his problem is mental. He has the mechanics to be a good starter, but just not the mental ability to go do it.

In my early grade school years, Tuesday nights were the only school nights with a later than 8pm bedtime...Red was on from 7:30-8:30Central.
