Weight might get McKinnie cut again

08:08 AM ET 06.15 | Cut last season by the Vikings, Bryant McKinnie, who sat out Thursday's practice, may be on the verge of extending an ignominious streak. Here is a player who has a history of being overweight and struggled with the same problem last season. He also reportedly has financial problems, yet can't get into good enough shape to participate in minicamp. You have to question his commitment and when a team starts signing veteran offensive linemen and McKinnie gets held out of minicamp, it could be a sign of things to come. "We will leave that between us. That's something that is an in-house type of thing right now," said Ravens head coach John Harbaugh when asked what McKinnie has to do to be on the field the first day of training camp.

I think there should be an All Overweight Team. Considering guys whose weight has been an issue in playing.

Big money Haynesworth
McKinnie
Mike Williams
JaMarcus Russell

And there's no shortage of coaches for a team like that, either.

Hey, wait a minute? Aren't we supposed to get a Cowboys story with a Ravens title and a picture John Harbaugh?

NOW I GET IT! The Ravens are going to use Tyron Smith to replace McKinnie AND Terrell Suggs. They are a crafty, crafty group over in Baltimore.

He should talk to that guy in Buffalo dropped from 440 last year to 375 this year, figuring he'll make the roster this year if he gets down to 360

McKinnie: Too Big To Fail.

June 15, 2012  10:54 AM ET

Sheesh, how fat do you have to be if you're too fat to be an NFL offensive lineman? This guy must be a serious blob.

You can't blame the Ravens for talking a chance on him. This is another sad story about a talented athletic with money problems not giving his best to be the best. Probably the next time Mckinnie name is in the headlines we will read about his death.

There in a very tough Division, I don't think The Ravens will tolerate someone who's not in Shape, he's got a couple of months but if he doesn't make a commitment look for him to get cut!

When we heard about his trade to the Vikings, wasn't that basically the same thing?

McKinnie maybe overweight, but he's not out of shape. He's in shape; the shape of a perfect circle.

Mr. Jakester Mckinnie was drafted by the Vikings in 02 out of UM.
