Braves manager pleading for arms

I think I read where Ryan Dempster might be available .

Plead all you want, your hitters need help too. Only the Red Sox folding and spitting the bit last September kept the Braves choking off the front page.

The Braves don't less depth at the plate than on the mound. If they're looking to make a deal for a pitcher, then they must feel the young guns at AAA Gwinnet aren't quite ready for the show.

If you think your in position to win sometimes you have to depart with some of your young talent in the minors. Since there is an extra wild card this year a lot more teams think they have a chance to win.

Amen 50! in that sweep by the Yanks, the Braves were 3-24 with RISP and left 26 men on base. acquiring one pitcher won't make up for that lack of offense.

the braves manager has his hands full, but he shouldn't expect too much in return from the owner after all the braves did had the greatest collapse last september,,,

As a die hard Braves fan I have to say I cant wait to see Gonzo go. He seems lost when it comes to managing the pen and 0-9 on mondays....really. You cant get a somewhat young team ready to play after playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Its nauseating!

With Bobby Cox gone and this new management not willing to put out the dough it will be a while before the Braves win a pennant. Sure do miss the Braves when they were on TV all the time and they had those great pitchers.

I am curious why they stick with Roger McDowell as pitching coach. Why not bring Maddox, Glavine, or Smoltz back in the role of pitching coach. Maddox would be great if he could teach the pitchers to pitch with his mentality.

I cannot put all the blame on Gonzalez for this team, as I believe the front office is mostly to blame. They are content putting a so-so team on the field, a team that will falter if it makes the playoffs. I seriously doubt Atlanta will see a team of the caliber it had for so many years again.

New batting coach seems to have same old mentality as well. Seems like they never have the scouting report on the opposing pitcher correct. They are always in the hole 0-1 either from watching a down the middle fastball or swinging at offspeed crap in the dirt. They NEVER get it right.
