08:26 AM ET 06.15 | Robert Nkemdiche reportedly had offers from Alabama, Southern Cal and LSU, but he chose on Thursday to verbally commit to Clemson. [Nkemdiche], the nation's No. 1 overall college football prospect, has committed to Clemson. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound defensive end from Grayson High School made the unexpected announcement during a visit to Clemson on Thursday. "It's family man!" Nkemdiche said in a text message to the AJC, confirming his commitment to Clemson. There's a lot of connections between Nkemdiche and Clemson that would make it feel like a football family: Two of his Grayson teammates, DB David Kamara (Nkemdiche's best friend since middle school) and RB Wayne Gallman, have already committed to Clemson.

He'd rather play alongside his buddies than with his brother.

This means nothing. Saban hasn't sent him 275 letters yet nor spent 3 hours on Skype. He'll switch.

QUOTE(#7):

But I thought it was 2012, that is what my Wife told me anyways. I guess I just heard it wrong, 'cause she is NEVER mistaken.

Tried the Old Florida trick and called my wife the Maid.

They say I'll get transferred out of ICU this afternoon and into a regular room....just for a week, tho...then to the rehab facility.

You're lucky you don't have a date with the funeral director. Playing with fire, dude.

And when his 2 other buds either get hurt, or scroo the pooch and get kicked off the team, or he himself starts thinking he's not getting the attention he so rightly deserves, it'll be transfer time.

If you look at all of Rivals top players since 2006, we hqave not gotten 1 of them. We still have done just fine....

Still looking like an easy top 3 class.

Bama doesn't need all of the prospecterazzi in order to win consistently. Oh, how I wish the Vols could find a way to upset the Tide...

Because he's a Bama lock. Duh.

Saban is probably interested in Robert now since he is committed to another school.

Still a Bama lock..He will switch on NSD after his buddies scholly's are faxed and accepted

Yep, he cared more about how high he could trend on twitter than what school he went. I see at least 1 commit switch before its done.

Media hoar
