09:00 AM ET 06.16 | What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Hopefully that doesn't apply to the Stanley Cup. Members of the Kings celebrated their NHL championship at the TAO nightclub in the Venetian Las Vegas Resort and Casino on Thursday night. And it was quite the show. After being introduced by a little person dressed as a king on his throne, the Kings players each took turns drinking champagne out of the Stanley Cup as music blared and partygoers cheered.

Just don't let anyone take a dump in it, a la Draper's kid. Look what happened to him for offending the hockey gods.

Ewww...

A kid took a dump in it, and now they drink from it!

Sleep. shower, lose it in a pool. Fight for it all year, and the irreverence it's shown is beyond me. But then I touched the Cup after they told me not to.

That the gods haven't been totally cruel and banished him to the Leafs.

News Flash: Brown loses Cup on a bet of Acey/Duecy. "I had a King and a three, I couldn't lose." What goes to Vegas stays in Vegas

Could've been traded back to Winnipeg for a buck again...

Ah, this is what 8 months of hard work is for. Good for these guys. I like hearing fun stories like this rather than nice charitable stories. Call me...selfish and self-serving, most people do.

Special Assistant to the General Manager. Sounds like a chick job :)

So, how does this work? Do players not only play their whole careers for it, but plan what thy'll do with it if they win it? Or is everything spontaneous? Oddly enough, either way, my thinking is: That's the best you could come up with? Those of you a bit more familiar with the cup than we newbie winners, what are some typical things players do with it? I've heard the crazy stuff, but I sense the whole let-my-kids-drink-chocolate-milk-from-it deal is more typical.

Don't tell me they're gonna gamble with the Stanley Cup. Isn't anything sacred anymore?

Four rings and all but about 20 games with one team and never scored more than 24 goals in a season (hear that Hudler?) Take an extra bow out of those curtains, Drapes :)
