08:29 AM ET 06.18 | Due perhaps in part to insisting on playing both football and baseball, Jameis Winston slipped to the 15th round in the recent MLB draft. Winston incredibly fell much further in the draft than anyone had anticipated, and many believe his stock fell because he insisted on playing football as well. That's good news for the 'Noles. What the program gets in Winston is a 6-4, 200-pounder who made strong impressions at offseason camps even while sharing the stage with fellow top quarterback recruits Gunner Kiel and Zeke Pike. He was also the MVP of the Under Armour All-American Game after going 8-of-9 passing for 178 yards and two touchdowns. In his senior season in 2011, he passed for 2,424 yards, ran for 1,065 more and recorded 44 touchdowns.

I thought GK went to ND? Who was that that left LUS and went to ND?

Glad JW will be on campus. But had he played baseball for a few years and then came back to play FB for us... well, that has worked out in our favor before.

You got it right. GK switched from LSU to ND. Miles said he didn't have the "chest" to be an SEC QB.

I knew alot of FSU fans that were worried he would go in the first few rounds. So glad he didn't. He'll be the starter in 2013.

Yeah, but do not be happy about a guy's decline in any sport.

Did I say I was? No, I didn't.

I thought Kiel was the one who originally verbaled to Indiana, then switched to ND?

LMFAO, yeah I remember Miles saying that!!!! I think Miles really meant that, "GK was too good of a QB for the SEC, because he didn't play defense"!!!

Yeah, look what happened with LSU in the end. So, yeah, even in the All Great SEC you need a QB.
