08:31 AM ET 06.18 | Big Dion Sims -- he's 6-foot-5, 280 pounds -- has a career to rebuild in East Lansing. In 2010, [Sims] pleaded guilty to felony receiving and concealing stolen property and redshirted as a sophomore while serving a suspension. Now entering his junior year as a starter, Sims has impressed his coaches and is showing signs that he can reach the potential he showed as a high school All-American. "He's got a phenomenal ceiling," offensive coordinator Dan Roushar told Hondo Carpenter on Spartan Nation Radio on Friday after meeting with Sims the previous afternoon. "I've had a number of guys -- (strength coach) Ken Mannie's staff and trainers that have come up and said Dion is a different person right now."

Doesn't he know the correct route for this kind of action is Blinn JC, $180K, then Aubie. Geez Louise, get it right.

Dude's got NFL talent, but he's gotta focus on his career. With The Spartans graduating their top 4 recievers, he'll be needed to step up.

Didn't Sims play for the Giants?

Sims needs to stay healthy. When he has been eligible to play, he has battled injuries. I think a hamstring problem as a freshman, and a broken hand last year.

What? No Colorado State story to print?

With that history, how did this cat not sign with an SEC team?

Sincerely yours,

Alumnus, is that you?

Uhh, Colonel, I signed it with "Bluesuiter".

Sounds like his biggest challenge is not on the field, it's staying out of legal trouble. Time will tell!

Sparty still can find them. It's amazing, no matter the coach or the staff they still can't shake the "Sparty" image.

No really coach. That is not Dion. That is a different guy!

June 18, 2012  01:33 PM ET

On the flip side, Sparty women are "sporty."

Maybe with this kid on the team, the Spartans can "steal" a victory or two.

FN kept deleting it. I tried to blurr parts of it, even tried blackout the interesting parts, but it did no good. This close up is the best I can do, sorry. She is my inspiration and a perfect Buckeye Fan. I just wish I knew who she is.
