08:05 AM ET 06.20 | Among the most high-profile unsigned free agents, Plaxico Burress knows where he'd like to play next: Carolina. "No doubt about it," Burress told WFNZ in Charlotte. "My brother lives right there in Charlotte, my cousin lives there in Charlotte, and all my family is there in Columbia, South Carolina. It would just be a great situation all the way around and being close to everybody. "Not just that, but playing with Cam (Newton), who I think is one of the top five quarterbacks in all of football, and as long as I can remember (wideout) Steve Smith has been one of my favorites. I just think it's a great situation." In reality, any job would probably be a great situation for Burress.

Concealed carry laws are lenient there are they?

The team needs a shot in the arm, Plax, not one in the leg.

Lots of good gun fairs in the south.

I hear McDonalds is hiring, or maybe he could be a greeter al Wal-Mart.....No wait, neither of those companies hire felons. Guess you'll have to stay in the NFL.

He will absolutely destroy that team, if they sign him!!!

Plax needs the Panthers more than they need him.

He would have done it to the Jets last year, but the team was so dysfunctional he didn't know where to start.

Ochostinko, Burress, Farve, the interns are really scraping the bottom of the bowl for stories.

I would like to see him go to the Panthers. You cant teach height and with Steve either getting double coverage or man on mam with the safety shading to that side. I could see allot of jump balls going to Plax. Plus it wouldn't cost much and load the contract with clauses so you can cut if if needed.

What gives this guy a right to do a tour around the league upon his discretion ?

Put him and Smitty at opposite ends, LaFell in the slot, Greg Olson at TE, J-Stew/D-Will at RBs and of course Cam? Wow. Suddenly things are tilting in Carolina's favor in the NFC South and maybe the NFC as long as that D stays healthy.

His birth certificate. It's america yo

A certain character who is more unmentionable than Brett Favre is trying to make that unnecessary.

Its called being asked to do a radio interview...a fairly common practice in today's media

I'd say the writer nailed it with his last sentence...

I can't understand why the Browns haven't expressed interest in him? They are in need of a tall receiver, scratch that, they are in need of ANY WR who can create problems for the opposition. He is still a threat in the red zone and has a couple more good years in him. Why not take a chance on him because having Weeden and Richardson they need to get their hands on a solid veteran wideout!

Garbage! He is high profile for being stupid. What a waste of good oxygen that man is. Line him up with all the others: pacman, ochostupido, TO, and the list goes on.
