Sox clubhouse not nearly as toxic as it might get

08:19 AM ET 06.20 | If this is toxic, look out Red Sox nation. Rumors of a toxic Red Sox clubhouse probably have been greatly exaggerated. But check back. Frequently. As the mercury climbs this summer, the walls within the clubhouse are going to start inching inward and the pressure is going to be ear-popping. ... If that is the Red Sox' fate, then there will be toxicity all right. And there will be blood. If the Red Sox do not get their act together on the diamond, it is hard to imagine a scenario that will not include a bout of ninja stars-throwing, finger-pointing, excuse-making and name-calling -- and a personnel fallout that could make the sins from last September look like nothing worse than a misdemeanor.

The only thing toxic in the Sox club house is when they let the media in.

It's odd this story comes out when the Sox have climbed back over 500 winning 4 out of 6 instead when they were losing 7 straight. The Boston media has to be one of the worst.
These are the same guys who after an opening day loss asked Sox players how they were going to deal with such a devistating loss?

I would like to see the Sox get Ellsbury and Crawford back, along with Bailey, and we'll see how things go. Honestly, I have been impressed that they've been able to hang around in the race.

The Sox can't complain much about the way the subs have played. When you can bring in a Posednik and have him hit near 400, you can't ask for more than that.

I think they try to stir up trouble that way they can say, see told you so.
