08:26 AM ET 06.20 | Though the NCAA has relaxed its restrictions on texting recruits, the rules haven't changed for contacting Jabari Parker. Parker remains off limits. His parents, Sonny and Lola Parker, do not permit college coaches to contact Parker directly. They must call or text them. "Everybody doing their job, but they still can't have Jabari's number," Sonny said on Tuesday. "That ain't changed. We want him to enjoy being who he is. If he wants to talk, we'll ask him first." ... Coaches have been reaching out to Parker's parents in the last week. Sonny said they've heard from Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, among others. "I talked to (Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski) the other day," Sonny said. "He wished me a Happy Father's Day."

I like what Parker's parents are doing here. But, please, for the love of all ....do not let your son go to play for K. You guys are LDS. That alone should disqualify the expletive-spewing-rat-devil!!!!!!

That is how it should be. In the football circles that would have affected Satan of bama. He would not have been able to make a deal to hire a certain recruits girlfriend to work in his office to get him to commit to that school. Still say the NCAA needs to change their rules to be in line with basketball.Had the rule been in place the satan would not have been able to buy that recruit. Trust me bama will buy many more before the rule is finally changed and call the Satan Rule. Why have rules for one sport and not the other. Gets me.

My man Sonny! Old school parental skills from back in the day. His experiience as a college and pro player helps their decision process. If I'm mistaken, Jabari's mother was a first class athlete as well. I remember sonny playing high school ball , he was a beast! Hey sonny, give the Illini a chance!
