08:11 AM ET 06.21 | Thanks in large part to his height, Bradley Beal is winning over a lot of people these days. Basketball executives breathed a sigh of relief when the Florida shooting guard measured 6 feet, 4 3/4 inches in his shoes at the NBA combine in Chicago, and reporters and fans come away impressed with every interview he does. ... [Beal] is seen as the top shooting guard in next week's draft, and all indications are that the Washington Wizards plan to take him with the third pick, with New Orleans taking Kentucky power forward Anthony Davis at No. 1 and Charlotte likely choosing Kentucky small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist at No. 2. However, should Charlotte trade its pick or take Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson, it's possible the Wizards would take Kidd-Gilchrist.

If the Bobcats dont trade #2 (which is what most ppl would like) then I'd say T.Rob is the front runner right now with MKG second but Beal very close behind. T.Rob & Barnes are in for workouts today...MKG & Beal were very impressive on Tues. Would be surprised if anyone outside those 4 were chosen

"Top Three Picks Set?"
Well obviously not when words like "likely" and "if" and multiple scenarios are mentioned. It's like editors don't even try anymore.

So basically whoever the Canadians draft, is the ROY, in your opinion?

On a serious note, I just saw some highlights of Jonas Valanciunas. Looks like a good finisher at the rim, but has zero post moves. Another front-facing center from Europe.
Not saying he's not talented, but I'm skeptical about his ability to stay with NBA bigs with limited foot work. he has a LONG ways to go before he can compete with NBA bigs.

I really want lillard to get past Portland so the raps can take him. If they do get him tho i think we will hold onto Jose and bring lillard of the bench his first year. from the way BC and Casey have been talking it sounds like the last thing they would want would be rookies starting at center and PG. JV starts for sure but if we hold onto the 8th pick i think that player will be a reserve next yr. I think it'll be JV/Davis for ROY

Davis will be number one, that is the only thing that people can count on. I have heard trades for #2, Barnes, Beal, MKG, Robinson, Drummond....but knowing MJ he will draft wrong. Loved him as a player, but his draft of Kwame Brown and trade of Rip Hamilton for Jerry Stackhouse are two very bad trades.
With the Wiz making a trade for a PF and SF, I expect them to be going towards Beal in the draft.
This is the joy of the draft...trades, rumours, mock drafts. A team can make themselves much better with one trade or draft. The Raptors one year drafted Rafael Arauju instead of Iggy. Iggy torches them every game, and Arauju is not in the league.

I don't see him playing center if at all his rookie year and that would be desperation. It will be interesting to see if Kaman stays now that he is a free agent. I don't know if Davis will have the numbers to get the ROY though. I am especting numbers very similar to KG's rookie year. 10-11 PPG, 7 Rpg and maybe 1.5 BPG. NO will go Davis and the best wing avalible they need so much help
