08:13 AM ET 06.21 | Even nearing 50 and merely flirting with 80 m.p.h. on the gun these days, Jamie Moyer is a prospect. After three starts for Triple-A Norfolk, the Orioles may be coming to a point where they have to make a decision about 49-year-old [Moyer] and whether they will add him to the Orioles rotation. Moyer is 1-1 with a 1.69 ERA for the Tides. ... [In Moyer's third Norfolk start, on Wednesday,] Moyer did not walk a batter and fanned four. Why did he leave the game after just four innings? "We were just watching him and his pitch count [Wednesday]. Nothing wrong whatsoever, it was just a pitch count to not overextend him and everything is fine." Griffin is aware that some may speculate he came out early because his next start could be for the Orioles.

Would love to see him come up and win a few games ... then be able to tell the kids and grandkids I saw him pitch!

It is a different world between Triple A and the Bigs. It will be like batting practice for these major league hitters.

I'm sure you can come up with better baseball stories to tell the grand kids than that.

He could be any worse than Arrieta

Baltimore cannot be that bad that they need this guy.

He can invite his own Grand kids to the game and they can see him pitch...

Tough Times down in Balt...

A smart, crafty pitcher who knows his limitations. As a Phillies fan, I've seen him confound experienced hitters (although his best target is the young & anxious batter!).

Don't count him out yet...

Pitching is about keeping hitters off balance and Jamie is the master.

Dude... Jamie 'was' the Master...

Every player reaches the end of the road at some point - Jamie's road was longer than most.

Make him a short relief pitcher

June 22, 2012  07:51 AM ET

He can be a fifth starter on plenty of teams. Hell he already won 2 games this year.

Jaime should learn himself a knuckler.
