08:16 AM ET 06.22 | As they woke up Friday morning, of course, Thunder players were likely still disappointed by how their season ended Thursday in Miami, but some lessons last a lifetime. Thank you LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Thank you Shane Battier and Mike Miller and whoever else was draining 3-pointers from every corner of the court. ... The Thunder needed to know that on this level, it has to play smart and tough on every possession. Needed to know that it can't relax against a team like the Heat. Can't resort to old habits or momentary lapses. And no better way to impart that knowledge than getting taken to the woodshed by third quarter's end in the season's final game.

Wonder if the ref's will get a ring too, for their contributioins.

Finally. Lebron's got it! I feel a tiny bit sad for Durant and Westbrook... but they'll be back. But you have to admit, when the fat lady sang... she gave a memorable duet with her fat mamma.

It left me thinking.... if it was the Spurs, would they lost 1-4? or would the Spurs have won?

The Heat saved their best for last.

And the Heat have the refs to thank...

Really the refs?

In a sense you are correct. Because if the refs didn't tag Dwade with that bogus foul for diving on the court after a loose ball. Spo wouldn't have called on Miller so soon.

And the rest was history.

So yeah, blame the refs if it makes you feel better. But they are going to change the score and it doesn't change the fact that OKC got late swept.

The Celtics gave the Heat a harder time than OKC did.
