08:32 AM ET 06.22 | The name looming large over the draft proceedings in Pittsburgh is no prospect: Rick Nash. The Senators still want [Nash]. But does he want them? As teams gathered here for this weekend's NHL draft, there was talk that perhaps the lure of playing with his old Team Canada buddy Jason Spezza could sway the Blue Jackets sniper into putting Ottawa on the list of teams to which he'd accept a trade. The general feeling is the two would be a good fit. It's also believed that while Nash's original list was short, the Rangers, San Jose Sharks, Flyers, Hurricanes and Senators are the clubs trying hardest to land the two-time 40-goal scorer. ... [Ottawa remains] alive in the Nash Sweepstakes with an offer of Mika Zibanejad, Nick Foligno and Ben Bishop.

There was a report out of Boston yesterday that the Bruins have made a preliminary inquiry in regard to Nash.

Would be a good fit there, and they have a nice package to offer.

But he wants to be a Leaf, so he would never go to the Sens. :)

Seriously...the Blue jackets think that Ben Bishop (THE BISHOP) could be their goaltending answer?

Bishop is decent. Maybe Lehner.

I would think it would cost much more than Zibanejad, Nick Foligno, and a goalie. But that is a good start. Add someone like Cowen and you might get a deal done.

Plenty of guys on the B's I would love to see come this way...
Nash would also look awesome in Boston

I just know I am tired of this story, so the sooner the flipping trade gets done, the happier I'll be

Everyone wants to be a Leaf. Heard Crosby's agent was inquiring.

The B's have the depth to make that kind of a trade but it would also have to involve a player who makes a significant salary in order to ease the cap situation.

yep - the B's would have to balance the cap hit, for sure.
But with Horton having no timetable comgin back (at least that I have seen) Nash could be a great fit... imo

Lmao who in their right minds wants to go to Ottawa.

What have you been smoking?

Crosby and Malkin would be fair for someone like Luke Schenn.

For Nash it will cost Letang too. But even then, they might get out bid by an offer like Schenn and Kadri for Nash.

If the Leafs want Nash, there is no offer good enough from the Pens to match what the Leafs could offer!

I would love to see that Pens bounty coming west...

not happening, but I would love to see it.

put me in as one of the people that think Ottawa would be a good fit for Nash. There'll be pressure, but not TOO much and he'll have a good supporting cast of emerging talent.

The sens can definitely put together a package including ben bishop, the jackets would be a heck of alot better if they could get a goalie & some useful players + picks or prospects.

Can't be worse than what they have in their system right now.
