08:53 AM ET 06.23 | Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper has made the transition to Major League Baseball with ease this season. Now the 19-year-old phenom is stepping into a world where his quotes go viral, then end up on T-shirts. Harper told Comcast SportsNet Washington on Thursday night that sporting manufacturer Under Armour will soon start selling T-shirts bearing a quote he gave a Canadian reporter last week. After a game against the Blue Jays on June 12, the reporter had asked Harper whether he would take advantage of Ontario's drinking age restrictions, which allow 19-year-old's to consume alcohol. Harper, a Mormon who does not drink, replied, "That's a clown question, bro." The video of the incident quickly became a YouTube sensation and the quote was one of the highest trending topics on Twitter.

Really? That quote on a tee shirt is supposed to be a big seller? The quote came up because of another instance of the media not having a clue what questions to ask someone. Obviously if he doesn't drink he would care less about the Canadian drinking age law.

I'm going to trademark "That's an Andy Pettitte Slider, Bro."

Wouldn't it be nice if more athletes held the interviewers to a higher standard. Maybe we would stop getting such poorly thought out and written threads..........nawwwwww If these guys could actually think, interview and write, they wouldn't be here

Doesn't work.

It was a great line but, as Leno noted on the Tonight SHow, Harry Reid is already on tape saying the phrase. It's dead.
