Ryan unhappy with Ducks

09:31 AM ET 06.23 | They started the proceedings by trading their top offense-minded defenseman (Lubomir Visnovsky) to the New York Islanders for second-round pick in 2013 and looked to the future by selecting a skilled 18-year-old defenseman (Hampus Lindholm) from Sweden. It was the in-between stuff that blindsided the Ducks on Friday at the NHL's Entry Draft in Pittsburgh. The bombshell came when their high-scoring winger Bobby Ryan unleashed his frustration over trade rumors. Ryan said he was taking it all "personally," airing his feelings in an interview with the one of the Philadelphia Flyers' beat writers. "Anaheim to me has been a team over the past year that really has shown me nothing to prove that they want me here, unfortunately," he told the New Jersey Courier-Post. "Obviously, it's not the ideal situation. When you get drafted, you want to win championships with that team and every time they look to add a piece to the puzzle, I'm the piece going the other way."

Pittsburgh is waiting Ryan. :)

He wants to play for a team with a manlier name. Ducks, Penguins, Blue Jackets, Coyotes, Leafs aren't it. They all sound so wimpy.

Obviously you haven't heard. He's coming to Detroit along with Suter, Weber and Parise. :-)

I think you left out Terry Sawchuk as well!!!

They did very well getting what they got for Staal...he could have left following next season and they would have had nothing to show for it.

That's because we are coaxing the Dominator out of retirement. ;-)

I agree with you there. They got a lot in return for a guy who didn't really want to be there anymore.

True enough. Hate to see him go but Jordan seemed to have his mind made up that he wanted to go to Carolina.

Kinda how I feel about the Ribeiro trade... Got upside for a guy that was going to be gone anyway.

This was the only deal that I got selfish about last night. You cannot tell me Burke couldn't put a similar package together for a guy who fits their biggest need in such a huge way.

I'm just not too sure what bringing in another centre for Staal is doing to help their top six. Sutter has upside, and has everything necessary to be a #2 on a good team.

They're jerking him around still. For almost a year now. I'd want out too

Should point out that this deal makes a run at Zach Parise a very, very logical outcome for the Pens.

I read somewhere it's basically Philly or bust for him. Is there something manly about a team named after things that come in newspapers that can save you 90 cents on toilet paper?

Six Mil for ten years? He was loved, and will still be loved here. He didn't get jerked around.

Buy a clue before spouting off nonsense.

And the Dominator. I heard he was looking around.
