Doan frustrated with Coyotes ownership

09:36 AM ET 06.23 | Shane Doan is frustrated with the Phoenix Coyotes ownership situation, particularly when it relates to his impending free agent status. Doan, the Coyotes 36-year-old captain who has never played for another organization, wants to stay in Phoenix but sounds unsure if that will happen because of the team's unsettled ownership. The NHL owns the team but is trying to sell it to Greg Jamison, a former executive with the San Jose Sharks, but has recently been blocked by taxpayer watchdog group, the Goldwater Institute. "They have been unbelievably open and honest and great with me and I can't say enough about how good they've been," Doan told radio station Arizona Sports 620. "And yet their hands are so tied with the whole stumbling block that keeps popping up with the team, and that is frustrating. I'd love for it to be the whole time in Phoenix. I've made no bones about that. I've really enjoyed my time here and like it here and this is where my family is from and it's what we want to do. "But at the same time, it's such a unique and difficult situation." Doan is reportedly seeking a four-year contract, which would be the last of his career.

I see the Yotes took Ulf Samuelssons' kid, see if he's as good as his dad, although he's a Winger. I laugh at how evry pick I watched in my half-hour of watching, every one picked was "ready to play in the NHL now"
