Two frontrunners for Youkilis

I will just be glad when it happens. It seems Youkilis trade rumors are in the news every other day.

With those movie star looks, he belongs in LA.

At least Ricky Henderson had gas in his Tank when he refused to Play!!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Unless Youk can play 3rd, left field and Pitch every 5 days I don't he would be a good fit for the Tribe. Just another band-aid on a bullet wound!

Just like Johnny, its a gamble whether he can hit for average again and provide the spark they need in the lineup. Just because he is a right handed bat doesn't mean he's the only right handed bat.

Can't blame Bobby V...kid looks good at 3rd...Gonzalez needs to go back to first.....maybe Big Papi will start slumping or get hurt and Youk could DH.......try Youk in RF...what the hell....a little running around there will do him good.....

They don't have any space for him in the OF either. Cody Ross is doing pretty well in RF and it won't be too long before Crawford and Ellsbury are back in the lineup.

If Antonetti makes this move, he'd better hope that Youk has ANYTHING left in the tank. We need a right-handed hitting LF. Damon, Duncan and Cunningham have been TERRIBLE. Like it was said earlier, you can't keep putting a band aid on gushing wound. The Tribe needs to stop shopping the discount clearance rack and make a move that will actually keep fans excited about this team in a town that is obsessed with a losing football team.

No. It's every day. Love the guy, but it's time.

The Nats will be looking for a temporary 3rd baseman soon. I give it no more than 10 days before Zimmerman is on the DL again. He is clearly still hurt and is hurting the team both with the bat and in the field.

Gold glove caliber defense at either corner, can and should still hit some. He obviously has value, though I dont see it being the Indians. Tough to think they will send him to a team in the AL that has a chance. Either way its definitely time.

Youk to the White sox for 2 players...Huge competitor for the Red Sox will be missed in Fenway, but Middlebrooks looks great.

Best of luck to you Youk. I'm glad he got the standing ovation today. He was a solid player when healthy. Now we'll get a week of stories how Youk was poison in the club house and how Valentine mistreated him by not telling him why he wasn't playing everyday. I hope he can help out the other Sox. I know deep down ChiSoxFan is pleased.

Of course he'll probably get boo'd the next time he hits town because after all Sox fans are funny that way. I was reading some posts on another site and "Sox fans" were complaining how they got nothing for Youk, but the Red Sox got what they could in concideration. If he wasn't making so much money he probably would have been released since there was just no room for him.

What they got was better than nothing......Red Sox are eating all but $2mil of Youk's salary......there must have been some serious friction with Youk and Bobby V.....

I don't believe that was it at all. There just wasn't room for him anymore. Middlebrooks is playing great and making a lot less money. Plus with the outfield doing so well there was no reason to keep putting Adrian out there. This is the best thing all the way around because now Valentine doesn't have to try to force him into the line up anymore.
