08:12 AM ET 06.25 | Keep an eye on Luol Deng, who aims to play in the Olympic Games this summer before having surgery, something that might get in the way of his returning to the Bulls at 100 percent by training camp. [Deng] said he does not believe the Bulls are shopping him in retaliation for his decision to delay the wrist surgery he needs until after the Games. But Deng, 27, did acknowledge that he's not dismissing recent reports suggesting the Bulls are willing to trade him for a top pick in Thursday's NBA draft, with speculation mounting that Chicago could send Deng to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for the No. 7 overall pick. ... "I believe there is always to some extent truth behind rumors," Deng said.

If he leaves, I will be sad. We have nobody behind him that can step up; Butler is not ready.

QUOTE(#3):

If the Warriors land Deng, and he and the other new players get the Warriors into the Top 5 in the West, they will have traded their way toward turning around the franchise faster than just about any other franchise that's not a big city market. They traded for Bogut and David Lee, and now are trying to add Deng as well.Looks as if they want to get the team into contention as fast as possible and don't want to go through the rebuilding process.

Top 5 in the west? You must really view Deng highly and expect Bogut back to pre elbow injury form. I could see them maybe fighting for the 7-8th seed, I just don't see where they're better than Memphis/LA/Denver even with Deng, and the Mavs are a to be determined roster right now.

QUOTE(#10):

Well, the Bay Area does have two of the top medical centers in the world (Stanford and UCSF), so we'll do anything possible to get the players healthy. That being said - if the players don't recover and are still injured - we'll just waive or amnesty all of them. :) Hahahaha. May cost us a few tens of millions, but we'll find some way to get over it, haha.

Makes no sense whatsoever.

Agreed. Boozer isn't the right number 2 guy and Rose's future suddenly looks less bright. Poo Bulls fans are going to be facing the same mediocrity the Knicks face.

I guess the only relief is that they still won't hot rock bottom, aka, The Cavs.

QUOTE(#16):

What don't you understand ? We'll either heal 'em or get rid of 'em.One way or another, we'll find a way to get the franchise to succeed, even if we have to pay fines to waive players or whatever. Now that we have powerful tech titan CEO's as owners, money is no longer an issue. We're the friggin San Francisco Bay Area, with the power of Silicon Valley behind us. We've proven our success with the 49ers and other sports teams, and we can certainly do it with the Warriors.

No owner is gonna burn through money like that.
