Charlotte may drop down to take Barnes

08:13 AM ET 06.25 | Few prospects over the past two years have been as scrutinized as Harrison Barnes, something that isn't likely to change even after the draft. The Charlotte Bobcats are believed to be high on Barnes -- keep in mind the Michael Jordan/North Carolina connection -- but don't want to take him second overall. That's why so much speculation persists on the Cavs and Bobcats working a deal that would give the Cavaliers the No. 2 pick and access to anyone not named Anthony Davis, while the Bobcats would drop down two spots, still in position to take Barnes, and would presumably pick up the Cavs' extra first-round pick. ... There is still a chance he winds up with the Cavaliers, but it's no longer the lock it seemed to be just a few weeks ago.

Way to much pressure on him if he joins the Bobcats

QUOTE(#1):

First.Sounds good. If Charlotte decides that it wants Barnes, no problem with that. It's funny that they have to optimize their draft pick for it though. It's not as if they've been running such a tight ship the past few years. Well, yes, it's been a tight ship in terms of cutting down on expenses and not paying too much for players, but not so in terms of drafting, trading, and retaining talent.

If Jordon thinks you're great, you're doomed.

It's just "Street Ball" now...who cares.

Far from Street Ball, it's a Free Throw Contest, get it right.

C'mon MJ... Don't waste the pick on Barnes! Get Thomas Robinson! Barnes, minus the donuts, is another Sean May in the making.

Cavs are stuck. They are wary of MKG because they think they need a scorer. They MAY, I repeat, MAY be coming around to seeing Barnes is overrated. So this forces their hand to move up to get Beal. OR settle for MKG or hope Robinson is around at 4.

Harrison Barnes? Yikes.

Take Bradley Beal at 2.

I understand loyalty. But at some point those still hanging on to those strong ties, like it appears to be with those loyal to UNC, need to just move on and do what is best for business. Don't get me wrong, I am all for UNC. But in the in the end, it is a business, not just a networking, we have something in common thing. And you have to do what is best to make the business successful. Is that Barnes? Maybe. But maybe not!

Another great move by the Cavs. Lets see, lets just give up and extra 1st round pick to get exactly who in this draft? Whoever the Cavs pick could just as well be there for them to pick even if they don't give up a draft pick. Brilliant move Cavs. You lost LeChamp, your owner is sore and now this smart move!

Beal is overrated he can create his own shot, the Bobcats definately need someone who can create his own shot.
