Jets rookies already putting in 10-hour days

08:04 AM ET 06.26 | Linebacker Demario Davis remains undefeated in a way. [Davis] insists no one beats him to the Jets facility, where he has arrived at 6 every morning since mini-camp closed. With an offseason program in place again this year, this is the time for rookies-only instruction, a time where coaches can have individual meetings, instill nuances unfamiliar to first-year players and run them through a battery of conditioning drills. Technically, Davis said, their arrival is set for 8 a.m. and the day lasts almost 10 hours. A majority of the rookies arrive by 7:30 before an hour-long meeting with their position coaches, a walk-through, a two-hour workout and an additional position-only meeting before lunch.

This had to make me laugh. I wonder if Davis is like so many people I have met in my life, people who kiss up by showing up early, keep their desk clean, open the door for the boss, let the world know how hard they are working on twitter but in reality are slackers. These are usually the worst type of people for a company to hire because they convey a bad message to all that hard working individuals that it is not how smart you are or how hard you work that will move you up the corporate ladder , but being a "Yes Man" will.

Looks like Rex is really serious about getting to the Super Bowl this year. His mouth isn't writing checks his team can't cash. Gonna do it the old school way. Training, training, training. Practice, practice, practice. Winning, winning, winning.
