Milwaukee may soon landing in seller's role

08:15 AM ET 06.26 | The inconsistent Milwaukee Brewers continue to hang around in the standings, a good winning streak away from landing in serious contention. They also might be a bad week or two from becoming an active seller before the July 31 non-waiver deadline -- and ace right-hander Zack Greinke would not be their only attractive chip. Two other potential free agents -- right-hander Shaun Marcum and right-handed reliever Francisco Rodriguez -- also could appeal to contenders. So might backup catcher George Kottaras. The Brewers -- 6 1/2 games back in the NL Central, 5 1/2 games back in the wild-card race -- are in a tricky spot. ... The best thing for the franchise long-term might be to make a series of trades, with Greinke being the biggest prize.

There is not a chance someone would take on Rodriguez salary. Then they still talk about trading Greinke to a contender. A very high price to pay to rent a player. Maybe these teams learn a lot from the Cards last year. Don't make stupid trades we may get hot in September and there is a extra spot this year also.

They would if the Brewers will pay part of the salary.

Big time. I have always thought he was way overrated, but this is beyond awful.

The Brewers would do well to try to trade him for something...anything.

Oh, let's not forget K-Rod and Axford finally shittingthebed as recently as two weeks ago, too. They cost the Brewers at least 5 games in a 2 week stretch.

Dude...

I was just checking their roster - to see who could be traded (Greinke, F-Rod, Weeks, Wolf are all eligible for Salary dump)...

BUT - I saw they signed LIVAN 'freakin' Hernandez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That should be a sign of what's coming...
