Wade on thin ice in Yankees bullpen

08:13 AM ET 06.27 | Cory Wade provided more evidence Tuesday that he's becoming ineffective. He surrendered four runs in two-thirds of an inning, forcing Rafael Soriano to save the eventual 6-4 victory. After being terrific throughout his Yankees tenure last year and the first two months of this season, Wade has served up runs in six of his last 10 appearances. ... Wade has become an important component of the bullpen, but right now it's difficult to imagine the Yankees can trust him in important situations. If Wade doesn't start pitching better, it's also possible his role could be further diminished with rehabbing righty relievers Joba Chamberlain and David Aardsma potentially returning later this season.

I wouldn't. He hasn't been the same since the midges got to him in Cleveland.

They're 15 games over .500...they're steam rolling every team in there path...but uh oh ...they have one player not performing .....whew what troubles....Girardi's probably losing a ton of sleep over this.....quick Cashman get on the phone start inquiring about another reliever.....jeez ....imagine if they'd were 2 guys in the bullpen not performing....

I know Sarge! It's accurate that he is struggling but sheesh! Guys have to work through stuff sometimes and in the meantime we've managed to scrape by on the pitching that we have.

Couldn't believe that blown call last night...the pop up in the stands against Cleveland that Wise was given credit for catching. The ump never asked to see the ball while the fan that had possession of the ball was like 10 feet away from Wise. One of the worst calls I can remember and it's evidence of just how bad an umpire can blow a call. The Yankee anouncers were even amazed that the ump missed it.
