08:17 AM ET 06.27 | Danny Mattingly had come a long way, from Spokane, Wash., for his first campus visit, so, before he left South Bend, he wanted to make his thoughts known. At the end of his tour, the rising senior linebacker and tight end was staring at the coaching staff's recruiting board with targeted players and commits listed. Mattingly erased his name from the list under the state of Washington and marked his name under the list of the commits. With that, Mattingly became the 15th commitment of the class. The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder from Mead Senior High, announced his decision on his Facebook page shortly after 7 p.m. EDT Tuesday while on his visit. ... Mattingly is the nephew of Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly.

Since this IS ND we are talking about I hope they celebrate by raising a glass of ginger ale... Anything else will probably invite more SI intern-found articles later on.

He needs to hit the training table with those ht/wt stats. Pretty sure the training staff will make sure that gets done.

Indeed. Same was the story for Tyler Eiffert when he came out of Bishop Dwenger High School. His body needed some time to grow. This kid will be fine.

No but macdougal is correct. Kid will probably put on 30lbs in college. Thats a good size for a HS kid playing WR TE LB

I know...just picking, sounds like something you (and other homers, of course) would say about a recruit....

Now I would never say such a thing...

QUOTE(#17):

David Brandon(Their AD) tried to back out of the series entirely when he first took the job a couple of years back. Michigan wants 4 home games OOC.

He from Florida? (for OT)

Heard Mich was going to start the Pac/B1G cross scheduling with a game per team each year. Adding all the cupcakes at home, that would leave ND off the schedule.

Further evidence ND looking to play more b12 games?
